It took us a long time to find healthy snacks for our toddler that were convenient, natural, and affordable. I have compiled a collection of our favorites at http://food4toddlers.webs.com Come check it out and try some of these items in your household – nothing beats the feeling of knowing you are feeding your child nutritious snacks and foods!

Lisa,
Thanks! Although I've got to tell you that he gets way too much sugar and I try to work on that everyday...but O is a pretty convincing little manipulator, I think he could be a very successful politician.

Ann, thanks for your great ideas! We love our snacks around here. Sprouted grain bread with tomato sauce & cheese is always a winner over here....toasted of course. The yogurt and chia is a great idea.

A lot of these snacks are good for everyone - not just kids! Great ideas! I'm impressed by how well you feed your son. You obviously put a lot of thought into it. I think a lot of people could learn from you!

{This comment comes from Denise but got wiped out b/c it was during a host change- thanks Denise, as usual, fantastic advice for kids!!!}
My kids aren't toddlers, but they are so hungry after school I always have snacks for them. They love smoothies. My daughter's favorite is frozen bananas, non-dairy milk, a scoop of peanut butter and some cocoa powder. My son uses grapes, frozen strawberries and a lemon Emergen-C. I freeze the leftovers in popsicle molds. We have these http://www.surlatable.com/product/id/130860.do?

They also really like bananas or apples in almond butter, and my daughter is obsessed with eating frozen blueberries. I try to limit any sweetener because I know that there are always unhealthy snacks at school that they eat.
